ఉన్నమాట చెప్తున్నాను.

नववर्षं नवचैतन्यं ददातु ।
నవవర్షం నవచైతన్యం దదాతు |
నూతన సంవత్సరము నూతన చైతన్యము ఇవ్వుగాక
Let the new year bring a new life.
आतिथॆयाः आगताः (सन्ति) ।
ఆతిథేయాః ఆగతాః (సన్తి) |
అతిధులు వచ్చారు. (సన్తి కలిస్తే అర్థం ఇది - అతిథులు వచ్చినవారై ఉన్నారు. సన్తి అన్న క్రియాపదం పై వాక్యంలో అవసరం లేదు).
Guests have come.
सर्वॆ2पि पलायनशीलाः ।
సర్వే2పి పలాయన శీలాః |
అందరు పలాయనము అయ్యెవాళ్ళే (పలాయన-మంత్రము ప్రయొగించేవారే)
All these fellows take to their heels in the face of danger.
किं भॊः, ऎकं पत्रमपि नास्ति?
కిం భొః, ఎకం పత్రం అపి నాస్తి ?
యేమిటయ్యా ఒక్క పత్రం కూడా వ్రాయలేదు
Hey, You haven't even written a letter !
प्रधानाचार्यः आगतः वा?
ప్రాధానాచార్యః ఆగతః వా ?
ప్రధానాధ్యాపకుడు వచ్చినారా?
Has the Principal come?

ayya, don't know how much you know about sanskrit. But it looks to me like you're not getting this from a reliable source(Whether it's your teacher or some website).
ReplyDeleteकिं भॊः, ऎकं पत्रमपि नास्ति? ante enti, okka patram kooda ledu ( naa + asthi ) ane. rayatam anedi ekkada ledu ee sentence lo. Appreciate your effort to teach sanskrit, but since you've taken up a huge task, please do make sure you're not making mistakes for the benefit of your students.
